Balanced Crop Nutrition for Strong Early Growth
At HexaHessman, we provide high-quality Diammonium Phosphate (DAP)—the most widely used phosphate-based fertilizer in global agriculture. DAP is a dual-nutrient source fertilizer that contains 18% ammoniacal nitrogen (N) and 46% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅), making it an essential input for promoting early root development, vigorous growth, and enhanced crop yields.
Product Overview:
DAP is produced through the chemical reaction of anhydrous ammonia (NH₃) and phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄). The result is a dry, granular fertilizer with excellent handling and storage properties, suitable for both direct application and blending in customized NPK formulas.
Performance in the Field:
DAP granules dissolve quickly in soil moisture, releasing nutrients that are readily available to plants. Its ammoniacal nitrogen supports early shoot and leaf growth, while the phosphorus component promotes root expansion and energy transfer within plant cells.
One key agronomic benefit of DAP is its initial alkaline reaction in soil (pH > 7.5). This reaction occurs due to the temporary release of ammonia (NH₃), which can help neutralize acidic soils during early stages of plant growth—particularly useful in low pH or alkaline conditions. However, proper placement and timing are important to avoid nitrogen loss through volatilization in surface applications.
